Numerous letters and phone calls has been made to Republican Governor Rick Scott about preserving Wild Waters for the families and Children in central Florida and he and other Florida Republicans has ignored citizens calls and letters.

Senator Dorothy Hukill (Republican) and Representative Dennis Baxley (Republican) are the Florida State representatives for the Ocala area. They are publicly elected officials who are paid to represent citizens in the Ocala Florida area.

Letters were sent to each of them about bureaucrats plans to eliminate Wild Waters.

They have not acknowledged the letters or indicated they intend to do anything to save our Water Park.

Not only has Republicans Senator Dorothy Hukill and Representative Dennis Baxley failed to stand up for families in Ocala FL, but the Marion County Commissioners who are all Republicans has also failed citizens.

On May 6, 2014, a member of the Save Wild Waters Group took the “Save Wild Waters” petition to the Marion County Commissioners (all are Republicans) and asked them to make sure Wild Waters was preserved for citizens in Florida. They were also asked to put a referendum on the ballot so the people of Marion County Florida could vote on keeping Wild Waters.

The request to make sure Wild Waters was preserved and the request to put a referendum on the ballot so citizens could vote on keeping Wild Waters was ignored.
